Kip Moore Treats Hilton Honors Members to Private Concert

The DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Nashville rolled out the red carpet last night for Hilton Honors members as part of their Hilton concert series. These lucky fans were treated to an elaborate reception with drinks, catering, a photo booth, and an actual red carpet before the show headlined by Kip Moore.

A few hundred people packed into one of the hotel’s ballrooms, where Kelleigh Bannen took the stage to kick off the show. Even with just her and a guitar player, she energized the crowd with her songs, including “Famous” and “Landlocked.” She also performed a soulful cover of “Tennessee Whiskey,” recently made famous by Chris Stapleton.

Kip Moore took the stage in his signature sleeveless shirt, tight jeans, and backwards ballcap swagger. The crowd was full of diehard fans, who sang along to every song. But as Montgomery Gentry would say, “there’s one in every crowd.” One of the audience members kept shouting for cover songs like “Freebird,” but Kip took the high road. He said that if this had been a few years ago, he would’ve said or done something, but he decided to ignore the heckler and move on with the show.

And if you’ve ever seen Kip live before, you know that one of his pet peeves is fans watching the show through their phones while they take photos and videos. This show was no exception, as he took multiple fans’ phones during songs for a few minutes and playfully engaged with them before giving the phones back.

The set list was full of his hits like “Hey Pretty Girl,”“Somethin Bout a Truck,” and his newest smash, “That Was Us.” But a crowd favorite was the smoldering slow jam “Backseat.” If you haven’t heard it before, listen to it with the visual of a sweaty Kip Moore using body language to reinforce the lyrics… and then you’ll understand why there was a puddle of women on the floor afterwards.

Hilton sure knows how to throw a party for its members! Even as fans were leaving, they received an exclusive poster of the event as a souvenir. To learn more about the Hilton concert series and becoming a Hilton Honors member, go to www.hhonors.com.
