Garth Brooks will launch The Garth Channel on SiriusXM Sept. 8th. Curated and presented by Brooks and programmed by label and radio vet Mandy McCormack (according to Rolling Stone Country), the channel will feature Brooks’ music and songs from artists who influenced his career, as well as hosted shows, behind-the-scenes commentary, guest DJ specials hosted by fans and friends, live concert recordings and more.
“stuff that I love. It’s going to be everything from Haggard and Jones to Katy Perry and Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and Strait,” he tells Rolling Stone Country. “I’m also big on songwriters and on undiscovered music too, like [his opening act] Karyn Rochelle.”
“It’s rare to be handed an opportunity that can grow as big as you can dream,” says Brooks. “That is exactly what SiriusXM has just done.” McCormack has worked for Brooks since leaving BMLG early last year.
