Four-time Grammy Award winner Keith Urban scored his 20th Billboard Country Airplay Chart chart-topper this week (his 21st Country Aircheck/Mediabase #1) with the infectious, summer anthem “Wasted Time.”
The song marks Urban’s third (“John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” and “Break On Me”) from his record-breaking album RIPCORD, which spent its first two debut weeks atop album charts in three countries (U.S., Canada, Australia) – an achievement unmatched by any other male country artist.
“Twenty #1 songs is beyond my wildest dreams – and playing many of them “live” on this tour, is like the ball dropping on New Year’s Eve!!”
“Wasted Time,” co-written by Grammy-award winning producer Greg Wells, J Hart and Urban, also extends Urban’s historic run of consecutive Billboard Country Airplay Chart Top 10s, a streak of 36 that is the longest running active streak in the chart’s 26-year history.
Urban is currently on a worldwide tour that will take him to three continents and four countries (U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand). The “ripCORD WORLD TOUR 2016” kicked off earlier this month in Kansas City to rave reviews. The show features an all-new production, a heavy helping of Urban’s biggest hits and his now legendary, unpredictable two-plus hour performances.
