The Band Perry is making a big change. The trio has signed a pop record deal with Interscope Records. According to The Boot, the group will maintain a small presence in Nashville while running more of their business thru the LA Interscope office of the UMG labelgroup.
We and Big Machine Label Group have made a mutual decision to bring our working relationship to a close,” the Perry siblings said at the time. “We are grateful for six years of the big moments and great strides we made with our BMLG family and will carry that foundation forward with us as we begin the next leg of our journey.”
The move doesn’t come as a total surprise. Over the past six years, the trio has toyed with pop more and more since their “If I Die Young” days. The latest single, “Live Forever” is heavy pop.
What do you think of the move?
