Emerging duo Smithfield had the honor of making their Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, May 7th.

“Stepping into the circle Saturday night was one of the most exciting and rewarding moments of our lives and a true milestone in our careers. We will cherish the honor of taking the Grand Ole Opry stage forever!”- Smithfield.

Smithfield is the combined forces of Trey and Jennifer who performed their single “Good Ol’ Days” along with powerful ballad “Hey Whiskey” on the coveted Opry stage. Leading up to the performance, the Texas natives filmed behind-the-scenes video at the Opry (to be released at a later date) and took over the Opry’s Twitter account.

After making the move to Nashville in 2012, the duo quickly began honing their sound, writing and recording. The recent release of their eight-track EP led them to garner national media attention by highly respected outlets including People.com and the Huffington Post. The entire EP is available on iTunes HERE and the music video can be viewed HERE.

Make sure to keep an eye out on CMTT later this week for our interview with Jennifer and Trey just an hour before they made their Opry debut.
