Blake Shelton’s “Savior’s Shadow” Was Literally a Dream

Take a listen to Blake Shelton‘s new song, “Savior’s Shadow.” It’s a different sound from Blake, climbing the Christian chart. Ironically, the song came to Blake in a dream.

“I dreamed the song last summer.. I woke up and wrote down everything I could remember,” Blake said. He then enlisted co-writers Jessi Alexander and Jon Randall to help him write it.

It’s beautiful and moving and I can’t wait for him to tell the story. It’s almost his ‘Why Me Lord’ — it’s very deep to him and to us…it came deep from Blake’s soul and we were just glad we got to kind of help him birth it,” Alexander added.

“Savior’s Shadow” will be included on his upcoming album If I’m Honest which will be released on May 20th.
