Lauren Alaina returns to FOX’s “American Idol” TONIGHT at 8 p.m. ET. Lauren initially captured America’s hearts when she appeared on Season 10 of the singing competition, and now she is back as a mentor to two of this season’s contestants. Lauren reflects on her time on Idol and shares a few pointers she picked up when she was going through the incredible, yet challenging, experience.
“I’m so honored ‘American Idol’ asked me to mentor,” shares Lauren. “It’s really special to be able to go back to the show that taught me the ins and outs of the music business and be able to share what I’ve learned with the new contestants. I love that I get to give back to the show that gave me so many opportunities and tools to set up my career.”
On the episode, Lauren will also sing a duet with the two Idol hopefuls.
Recently, Lauren released highly-anticipated new music on a five-song self-titled EP. Lauren co-wrote every track on the EP including her latest single, “Next Boyfriend,” and the ESPN exclusive promo track, “History,” which was played throughout the network’s extensive college and professional football coverage.
