Keith Urban has opened up about his relationship with wife Nicole Kidman and says she is his “great love.” Speaking with The Boot, he revealed that she is the woman he’s waited for his whole life and that she helped him become a better man.
“[She’s] the one I’ve been looking for and the one I’ve been preparing for, or life has been preparing me for, anyway,” Urban gushes.
“We got married, and I hadn’t taken care of my problems, and so my demons just came and kicked my a- and her a- and blew our world up. But this woman rallied the troops . . .”
“In so many ways, it was the most powerful act of love in reaching into the fire and pulling me out,” Urban explains, “because she believed in me, and she saw something in me in such a way that she risked everything, everything, to trust me and pull me out of the fire and let me then do the right thing and move into the light.”
Keith is gearing up for his upcoming “ripCORD World Tour 2016.” It will be his biggest tour to date and follows the release of his eighth studio album of the same name. Anticipation for this upcoming release has been mounting. The first single – Urban’s 19th No. 1, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” already earned a Grammy nomination and the second single, “Break on Me,” is now Urban’s 35th Top 10 song. Ripcord is the follow-up to Urban’s 2013 release Fuse, his fourth #1 album that marked the first time that a male Country artist debuted atop the all-genre charts in Canada, Australia and the U.S.
