Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley, Chris Young, Jennifer Nettles, Lee Brice and cast members from the hit TV series, NASHVILLE, were among the many performers and special guests that joined the National Hockey League in the celebration of hockey in Nashville for the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star weekend, Jan. 28-31. The weekend concluded with the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game, featuring some of the biggest starts the NHL, and a country music all-star line-up of performers.
Vince Gill performed the U.S. national anthem with his daughter, Corrina Grant, “NASHVILLE” stars Lennon & Maisy performed the Canadian national anthem and Jennifer Nettles performed during the second intermission of the All-Star Game while Lee Brice performed during player introductions. Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill, Amy Grant and Chris Young served as celebrity coaches for the NHL All-Star Game. The Pacific All-Stars team, under the direction of LA Kings head coach Darryl Sutter and country music star Chris Young, defeated the Atlantic All-Stars 1-0.
On game day, Bentley, Kelsea Ballerini and the Eli Young Band gave free performances outside Bridgestone Arena as part of the 2016 NHL All-Star festivities in Nashville.
