Scotty McCreery is a die-hard New England Patriots fan. In fact he sang the National Anthem at Gillette Stadium on Jan. 16 when the Patriots beat the Kansas City Chiefs in their initial AFC Divisional Playoff Game. Over this past weekend, McCreery invited several of his friends to watch yesterday’s television broadcast of the Patriots vs. Denver Broncos AFC Championship Game at his North Carolina beach house. In advance of the game, McCreery made a bet with his buddy Evan McNeill. If the Patriots won, then McNeill would do a polar plunge into the Atlantic Ocean — but if the Broncos won, then McCreery would be the one to be fully submerged in the icy cold water.
If Manning & Broncos win on Sunday: @ScottyMcCreery takes a polar plunge into the Atlantic Ocean! If the Pats win: I have to go for a swim..

Brady/Manning bet w/ @2Real_McNeill. I bet brady wins & he bets peyton. Loser has to fully submerge in the icy atlantic after the game

The game was played on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 24 and to McCreery’s disappointment, the Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots 20-18, with the Broncos advancing to the upcoming Super Bowl to play against the Carolina Panthers.
A man of his word, McCreery took the polar plunge. His buddy Austin Nagy posted video of McCreery’s run into the Atlantic Ocean.

It was already dark on the East Coast so the video doesn’t show McCreery making it to the ocean – just the shouts of his friends cheering him on. But McNeill returned to Twitter with video showing a wet McCreery on the beach immediately following his ocean dip.

Good sport McCreery will be on the road this Thursday, Jan. 28th, at the State Theater in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Friday, Jan. 29th, at the Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario.
