Hustle and bustle of the holidays couldn’t ring more true for Jennifer Nettles as she releases her first single on Big Machine Records, available now ahead of the official impact at Country radio on January 11th. Last week, she performed “Unlove You” during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and appeared on the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, in addition to starring in the upcoming Coat of Many Colors December 10th, all airing on NBC.
Penning the “smoldering tune” (Rolling Stone) “Unlove You” with frequent collaborator Brandy Clark, Jennifer aches on the Dann Huff-produced song: I can’t unlove you / and a heart can’t unbreak / I can’t unfeel how it felt / To feel so much myself / My whole body ached / I can’t unknow this / Lord I wish I knew how / But I can’t unlove you / So come love me for now / I can’t unlove you / So come love me for now.
The lead track sets a powerful tone of dynamic vocals, songwriting prowess and vivacious energy on Jennifer’s next solo album, due out in early 2016. Fans can already experience a sneak peek at the new music throughout her fall headline trek: Playing with Fire Tour with Brandy Clark and Ryan Kinder. She will kick off CMT Presents Jennifer Nettles with 2016 Next Women of Country Tour in January, along with Brandy Clark, Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson.
Jennifer has racked up over 22 million in worldwide record sales since exploding onto the music scene in 2004, amassing eight #1 hits and countless accolades and awards. Visit JenniferNettles.com for tour stops and additional updates.
