Hank Williams Jr. premiered his highly anticipated new music video for “Are You Ready for the Country” featuring Eric Church exclusively on CMT this weekend. The pair shot the video in Nashville at The City View Apartments parking structure with scenes focused heavily focused on the live performance with the background alternating between the vibe of country and city. Fans got a preview of what to expect during the opening of the 49th Annual CMA Awards where Hank Jr. and Eric performed the single and garnered critical acclaim with Billboard calling it “a strong opener” and RARE saying the two “rocked some faces off.”
Already been a big week for Hank Jr. who entered a select club of artists charting singles over six decades as “Are You Ready for the Country” debuted at #58 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, the Peter Zavadil directed video continues to build momentum around the legendary singer / songwriter’s lead track. His upcoming album, IT’S ABOUT TIME, is due out on Nash Icon Records January 15, 2016.
