Raelynn performed the national anthem yesterday (11/15) at Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville, TN to kick-off FOX’s live coverage of the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers game. While her team was ultimately defeated, the 21-year-old “God Made Girls” singer/songwriter supported her Music City hometown and donned a custom Titans’ jersey with her name on the back.
“Football and music are both huge in my family,’” said RaeLynn. “It is always such a huge honor for me to be asked to sing ‘The Star Spangled Banner,’ and it is all the more special to cheer on my city and the Titans.”
RaeLynn, who catapulted into the national spotlight with a lengthy run on The Voice (season 2), has continued to shine with opening slots on major tours with Miranda Lambert and Rascal Flatts, award nominations as well as an evolved maturity exhibited throughout her songwriting. The dynamic entertainer earned her first CMT Music Awards nominations for Female Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year earlier this summer with her GOLD-certified single “God Made Girls” (The Valory Music Co.). The newly engaged songstress is a CMT Next Women of Country honoree and is currently working on new music. Follow RaeLynn’s adventures on Twitter and raelynnofficial.net/
