Chris Cagel has announced his retirement from country music and it’s for a good reason.
In a Facebook post yesterday, Chris thanked everyone for a great 15 years but says he is hanging his hat up to spend more time with his family.
I would like to thank everyone for 15 yrs of a great time! From B&D to Flatts and fans!! I’m gonna miss my band and everyone!!
All this means.. I’m going home! I’m going to be a Father and a GREAT Husband and enjoy my life! I thank you ALL for everything ! I’ve had a great run and would just like to go home with my dignity!
The 46-year-old released his debut album, ‘Play It Loud,’ in 2000, and “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out” became his biggest hit in 2002, when it reached the top of the charts. Other hits include “What a Beautiful Day”, “Chicks Dig It”, “Got My Country On” and “Let There Be Cowgirls.”
Chris’ last record deal was in 2010 when he signed with Bigger Picture Music Group but, has been without a home since they shut their doors in 2013.
