Lady Antebellum may be gearing up for a much needed break, but Charles Kelley is just getting started. The singer debuted a solo project for an intimate industry crowd this week in Nashville.
“I wanted to get myself out of my comfort zone – and this is out of my comfort zone.”
The project will be lead with single “The Driver” which includes Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay.
Many hear the words solo project and will be quick to think that Lady Antebellum is no longer, but Charles insists that isn’t the case.
“Lady Antebellum will never f—ing break up, mark my words,” says Charles. “I wouldn’t have done this without Hillary and Dave giving me their blessing,” Kelley said, before thanking them for “understanding why I wanted to do this and why I needed to do this.”
