Garth Brooks very famous “Friends in Low Places” is getting a remake. According to Billboard, who broke the story this morning, Garth has re-recorded the 1990 classic “Friends in Low Places,” with some close friends who include George Strait, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban.
Billboard also reported their source told them the new version includes the beloved mysterious third verse, not included on the original, but captured on Garths’ 1998 Double Live album.
Garths’ representative declined to comment, but in an Aug. 19 interview with Storme Warren of SiriusXM’s The Highway, he was asked what he had been doing during his tour hiatus. The singer coyly answered: “I’ve been revisiting old friends and making new friends.”
Garth returns to the road Sept. 17 for seven shows at Dallas’ American Airlines Arena
