Authorities say they have recovered a custom guitar that was stolen from Rascal Flatts during a concert in Oregon over the weekend.
The band was performing at the Willamette Country Music Festival in Brownsville, OR on Friday night when the $2,000 instrument went missing backstage.
Sheriff’s detectives who were working at the festival and said they were able to identify the suspects as a 19-year-old man fand a 17-year-old girl, both of whom attended the show. The Sheriff’s office said a detective met the man on Sunday and took possession of the guitar, which appeared undamaged.
The suspects were reportedly cooperative when interviewed by investigators. Representatives of the band requested that authorities not pursue criminal charges if the instrument was returned intact.
