Arista Nashville/RCA Records newcomer Cam is giving fans a chance to get to know her and her music better in the new video series, Welcome to Cam Country – Behind the EP. Debuting each Wednesday on VEVO, the limited-run series of clips continued this week with its third installment, a segment about Cam’s breakout hit, the emotionally charged “Burning House.” The new clip is online now, with all episodes viewable at http://www.vevo.com/artist/cam.
This week, Cam’s “Burning House” ranks as the highest-charting solo female single on the Billboard and Country Aircheck country airplay tallies for a second consecutive week as it jumps to #24 and #26, respectively.
Co-written by Cam, “Burning House” is featured on her Welcome to Cam Country – EP, which debuted exclusively on Spotify earlier this year, with total streams of “Burning House” now soaring past 6.5 million. Hear it at http://smarturl.it/spotifycamcountry.
The song also continues to attract accolades from all quarters, including noted songwriter Natalie Hemby (“Automatic,” “Downtown,” “Pontoon”), quoted in Billboard citing “Burning House” as a song “I wish I wrote,” praising, “It reminds me of something the Dixie Chicks would sing.”
During a recent appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, Cam performed “Burning House,” and a video of that performance can be seen on the Opry’s YouTube channel.
Cam’s busy tour schedule also includes upcoming opening slots for multi-Platinum headliners Lady Antebellum (9/17), Little Big Town (10/8, 10/9, 10/10), and Darius Rucker (10/22, 10/23, 10/24).
Cam’s EP and upcoming full-length album are produced by GRAMMY®-winner Jeff Bhasker (Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, FUN., The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift) and Tyler Johnson (Ed Sheeran, OneRepublic, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Mikky Ekko).
