Day one of CMA Fest was awesome. Unfortunately, we were a tad unorganized and got our days mixed up, but we still go to experience a lot of what the festival has to offer.
First we hit the Hardrock Stage to check out a favorite band of ours, Halfway to Hazard. If you haven’t seen these guys, you’re missing out. Awesome live show!
Then we caught a small bit of the iconic Kentucky Headhunters, who still sound freaking amazing by the way.
We decided to check out a brand spankin’ new band, Unbrakeable at Plush. This is Keith Urban’s former long-time guitar player Brian Nutter and his wife Blake. These guys are certainly one’s to watch.
After that we headed into the Fan Fair X to see a special announcement about Keith Urban being the ambassador for the new Music Matters initiative.
We also caught Craig Campbell and Maddie and Tae at Riverfront before checking out Kelsea Ballerini at the HGTV Lodge (who we loved so much and are buying her album as we speak).
Of course we headed to LP Field to check out the ever amazing Alan Jackson along with Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley, and Rascal Flatts.
It was a hot, sweaty, sticky, stinky and fun day! Tomorrow, more of the same… Can’t wait to share all of our adventures with you! See all our photos here!
