CMTT’s Top Country Album Picks of 2013

Fotor123011009

As we have said previously, 2013 has been a very diverse year for country music.

The year had many great album releases from big names in country music like George Strait, Taylor Swift and Blake Shelton.  The year also made way for some great new country music hopefuls like Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, Ashley Monroe and Brett Eldredge.  There were big comebacks from those we’ve missed like Tim McGraw and Gary Allan.  There were also some new sounds and styles explored by Keith Urban.   All of these are held together by stellar songwriting and musical risks and the eclectic sound that has become modern country music.

As we took a moment to look back at the country music albums released in 2013 here are CMTT’s Top 10 Picks.

Brandy Clark’s “12 Stories” is my #1. On the pop country, I’d go with “Finally Home” from Blue Sky Riders.

  2. Gloria says:

My #1 favorite album is FUSE by Keith Urban. I love the changes Keith went with on this album. Love the whole album so much.

I also like Kasey Musgraves album.

  3. Irene says:

Keith Urban’s “Fuse” by a mile. By far the best album in country music for 2013.
