Luke Bryan covers the newest issue of People Country. Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year insists that fame and fortune hasn’t changed him much, but he’s taken aback by how far his career has come in recent years.
“Who would have thought that a few songs about shaking your ass would lead to all this?” the singer wisecracks. “Being me right now is just amazing,” Bryan says. “My life is truly everything I could have dreamed it would be.”
Although, I’m not sure that his wife, Caroline, thinks everything about Luke’s success is “amazing.” Everything comes with a price, and the family has had to give-up a little privacy.
“Someone was knocking on the door last night at 3 a.m. – and that happens all the time,” says Bryan’s wife, Caroline. “I’ve seen people go through our trash.”
And although it seems like there’s a down side to fame and fortune, including people hatin’ on some of the music Luke is putting out, Luke doesn’t really pay attention to all of that, or let some of the personal struggles he’s faced bring him down.
“I’m a really, really optimistic and really, really positive person. My main thing is enjoy life. Celebrate life.”
