Kenny Chesney’s concert in Pittsburgh Saturday turned into a wild one. Police say officers responded to at least 10 large fights. One-hundred-fifty people were hurt, with 45 transported to medical facilities. Police arrested or cited 73 people for assault including one indecent assault on the concourse, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, marijuana possession and public urination.
Thirty-two arrests were for scalping. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports another 43 were cited in the parking lot for underage drinking.
Pittsburgh paramedics answered approximately 40 calls, said a statement issued by police spokeswoman Diane Richard. Forty-five transports to medical facilities were reported, and the 150 people treated inside and outside were concert related.
Concert-goers left behind a sea of garbage, much of it discarded alcohol containers, in the North Shore parking lots. Crews were out in force this morning to begin cleanup.
Come on people! Get your crap together! LITERALLY!
