Travis Tritt’s ‘The Calm After…’ Available for Pre-Order Soon

Travis Tritt The Calm After...

Travis Tritt The Calm After...

Travis Tritt will release his first album in six years, The Calm After …, July 9th on his own Post Oak Recordings. An updated version of his 2007 release The Storm, the release marks the end of a tumultuous legal battle with his previous record label, now defunct. And its title reflects the clear skies Tritt now has before him.

“I feel so humbled and blessed to be where I am right now,” he says. “My voice has never been stronger, I’m constantly playing and working to become a better guitar player, banjo player, vocalist and songwriter. I am honestly as excited about the creative process and performing now as I was the day I signed my first record deal.”

An iTunes pre-sale commences June 25th, but Tritt’s biggest fans have the opportunity to purchase the final CD even sooner, as The Calm After … is already available at his concerts.

“As a thank-you to those folks who come out to see us and have always been there to support me, we wanted to give them the album a little early,” Travis explains. “I can’t wait for them to hear it.”

Also likely eager for the release is Tritt’s 15-year-old daughter Tyler Reese, who sings with her dad on the first single “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough,” one of two new tracks on the album. Released, appropriately, on Father’s Day, the song is a remake of the Patty Smyth and Don Henley hit.

Not included is the live acoustic version of “Why Me, Lord?” Tritt sang at George Jones’ Nashville memorial service in May. That song is available as a single on iTunes, however! This was a response that was necessary after the video went viral.
