Julie Roberts first made headlines with 2004’s extraordinary self-titled debut album. Fueled by the top 20 Country smash, “Break Down Here,” “Julie Roberts” quickly earned RIAA gold for sales in excess of 500,000, as well as a plethora of critical praise dubbing her one of the best new artists on the country music scene.
Roberts was an undeniable sensation, making appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, ABC’s Good Morning America, and in a Clinique’s “HAPPY” campaign along with Rihanna. In addition, she was the first-ever focus of CMT’s In The Moment, documenting the incredible story of how she rose from Universal Music Group Nashville assistant to a breakout star in her own right. Multiple honors also followed, with an array of nominations from the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music, and the CMT Awards.
Roberts is no stranger to overcoming hurdles. In 2010, the singer entered a tough period as she left her longtime label, lost her home and car to the crippling Nashville floods, and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In April 2013, Roberts re-introduced herself with an appearance on NBC’s smash series, The Voice.
Sun Records, the legendary home of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Roy Orbison, will release “GOOD WINE AND BAD DECISIONS,” the artist’s first new album in three years. The album will make history as the storied label’s first new release in decades; it will arrive on October 29th and the first single will debut later this summer.
Supporters to the PledgeMusic campaign will gain unprecedented access into Roberts’ creative journey over the next three months as she completes her new record. Pre-sales are available now, exclusively at http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/julierobertsandsunrecords Incentives for pledgers include producer credit in the liner notes, tickets to release party, a private full band show from Roberts and a first listen of album followed by an intimate dinner with Roberts and her mother.
“I am excited to do a campaign with PledgeMusic and give my dedicated fans access to my music in a unique way,” enthused Roberts. “I’m living my dream with this experience and I look forward to be even closer to those who have supported me from the beginning as well as to reach new fans.”
