Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell will headline this Thursday’s Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Telluride, CO, replacing Mumford & Sons. The newly announced concert date comes as Steve Martin, the Steep Canyon Rangers and Edie Brickell kick off the second leg of their successful North American summer tour in support of the new album Love Has Come for You, out now on Rounder Records.

Critics have been giving Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell’s live set, billed as “an evening of bluegrass and comedy,” rave reviews. The Nashville Scene called the show “a rich display of showmanship,” and The Tampa Bay Times deemed it “endlessly entertaining.” The tour continues across North America with upcoming dates including Vienna, Virginia’s Wolf Trap (June 24th), New York’s Town Hall (June 25th), Toronto’s Jazz Festival (June 29th) and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl (August 7th). The Los Angeles Times recently included the Hollywood Bowl concert in its Summer Music guide as one of its “must-see summer shows.”
