“American Idol” is starting to get down to the wire. Wednesday night, April 10th, the contestants sang 2 songs each.
Country contestant Kree Harrison blew the judges away with both of her performances singing “What the World Needs Now Is Love” and “Help Me Make It Through the Night.”
Janelle Arthur fell a little short with her first song “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again,” but stepped up her game for her rendition of the Garth Brooks hit song “The Dance.”
Thursday, April 11th, the country hopefuls got even closer to possibly following in the footsteps of superstar Carrie Underwood! Thanks to America’s votes, Kree and Janelle both grabbed a spot in the coveted top five! It appears this season is now all about the ladies. The last male in the competition, Lazro Arbos, got the boot last week not prompting the judges to use their save. Kree and Janelle will now continue to fight for the win against Angie Miller, Candice Glover and Amber Holcomb.
During the results show on Thursday the audience was also treated to performances from some very famous Idol alums. Kelly Clarkson sang her new song “People Like Us” and Scotty McCreery took the stage singing his single “See You Tonight.”
Make sure to tune into “American Idol” tonight! Janelle Arthur will be singing Vince Gill’s “When I call Your Name” and Dolly Parton’s “Dumb Blonde.”
