Hunter Hayes debuted his new song “I Want Crazy” last Sunday at the ACM Awards. The singer, who has already had his share of success, recently sat down with Radio.com to talk about songwriting and his ability to lay out his emotions in his work. Hunter admitted he really isn’t one to hold back his feelings saying,
“I’m a big fan of just letting everything out on the table. That’s why I write songs, that’s why I do what I do,” he explained. “I’m a big fan of just saying whatever is on your mind. My filter’s not that great. That’s how I think through everything.”
Hunter also admits he is huge on communication and it’s importance, saying that is why he writes his songs. He also discussed the need to talk things through saying,
“I do like to talk about things and figure it out. It helps you think through it. When you hear it back, sometimes it’s not always as good of an idea as it was when you were just thinking it.”
Hunter’s new single “I Want Crazy” is available now on iTunes. The song will also appear on the upcoming deluxe edition of his debut album “Hunter Hayes Encore” which drops June 18th.
