Shakira and Usher held their own as new coaches on “The Voice,” although Usher needs a geography lesson. He referred to Nashville as a state and our country man Blake Shelton would not let him live that down. Usher is on his way to building his team, though, with two singers.
Team Blake picked up a Christian Porter who sang “Sexy and I Know It” on acoustic guitar, The Morgan Twins who sang “Fallin'” and Danielle Bradbery, a 16-year-old whose first big performance was her audition for “The Voice.”
Team Shakira won over a musician who works as a roofer and a guy who surprised the judges because they thought only a woman could hit notes that high. Adam Levine has only one singer for his team, but she’s got experience. She was supposed to be Michael Jackson’s duet partner for his final shows and sang at his memorial service.
Did you watch the premiere of “The Voice” last night? What did you think about the undeniable talent?
