“American Idol” Country Contestants Make the Top Ten

American Idol

Last week on “American Idol” the contestants battled it out for a slot in the highly sought after Top 10.  Tuesday night (March 5th) the ladies took to the stage to sing for America’s votes. Country contestants Janelle Arthur and Kree Harrison came out and gave it all they had earning positive comments from the judges. Janelle went with an Elvis tune, “If I can Dream,” while Kree belted out the Faith Hill hit “Stronger.”

Wednesday night (March 6th) it was the guys who were in the spotlight. The only male country contestant still standing, Paul Jolley, chose to sing the Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton duet “Just a Fool.” While Keith Urban felt he over performed it a bit, overall Paul got decent feedback from the judges.

When Thursday (March 7th) rolled around (that’s right, there were three nights of Idol) it was the moment of truth. It seems country fans are on top of things and got their votes in because all three of the country hopefuls snatched a spot in the Top 10!  Watch this week as they continue to pursue their dreams and try to capture America’s attention!

I love Angie Miller, Janelle Arthur, Kree. None of the guys do much for me. Maybe Devin. I liked Elizah that got eliminated. But it’s just getting started, so my favorites may change.
