Last week Warner Music Group threw one helluva party during CRS. This year’s Warner Wednesday brought the house down with a 70’s theme and a two song set by every member of their impressive roster…along with some surprise guests. The night kicked-off with Frankie Ballard sporting a shorter hair-cut and performing the amazing “Freebird” in its entirety. Not only did he showcase some pretty fantastic guitar skills, but he managed to get a crowd who wasn’t quite drunk enough, to actually enjoy it and sing along.
Warner Music newbie Sheryl Crow, sporting denim bell bottoms, performed “Take It to the Limit” with a little help from Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe.
Truly, there were too many performances to remember…Jana Kramer, Gloriana, Brett Eldredge, Ashley Monroe and more all knocked our socks off. But a highlight for the crowd was when newcomer Charlie Worsham took the stage with John Oates to perform “Rich Girl.”
I wish I could’ve held my arms up long enough to just record the whole dang evening, because it would be nice to relive some of these once in a lifetime performances.
