Last week on “American Idol” the sudden death rounds continued in Vegas as 10 more ladies and 10 more guys took the stage to perform for the judges. An early country favorite, Janelle Arthur, who blew judges away with her sweet country sound in earlier auditions, didn’t shine quite as brightly this week. She sang Lady Antebellum’s “Just a Kiss,” but the judges were in agreement it was not her best performance to date. Luckily for Janelle, the judges decided to give her another shot and picked her to be a part of this season’s highly coveted top 20!
After all the country hopefuls that we have seen on season 12 over the MANY weeks of auditions only 3 have now made it to compete in the top 20.
Last week Kree Harrison and Paul Jolley made the cut and this week Janelle Arthur has joined them.
Do you think the next “American Idol” will be one of these country contestants? If so…who will it be? Let us know what you think!
