There’s a reason why country entertainer Danielle’s Peck latest single, “Impossible Dreams,” is making fans cry, critics rave, and industry observers turn their heads. It’s because the single, an inspirational and moving song about believing in yourself, is coming from a deeper emotional place than anything the Nashville-basedsinger has done.
“I feel like I’ve reached a different level of connecting to people through my songs and going a lot deeper into myself, my feelings, and my emotions and sharing it with others. I think that’s why people are really connecting to this song. My producer and co-writer Lari White [Toby Keith, Billy Dean, Chuck Cannon] has really helped me to search deeper into my soul and pull incredible stuff out. It’s connecting to people on a whole other level,” says Peck.
When White first brought “Impossible Dreams,” the first single from Danielle’s forthcoming album How Freedom Feels she instantly thought,
“Wow, this is me! This is one of the songs I didn’t write on the album (I co-wrote six of the 10 tracks, though), but when I heard it, I knew I had to do this song and the response has been amazing,” she says.
Peck is currently finishing up the last track and putting the final touches on How Freedom Feels, which is due later this summer.
“This is such a different experience working with someone like Lari who is a mentor, who is so strong and has a lot of experience as an artist, writer, producer, actress. It’s a really intimate thing writing together, but it’s been so easy with her,” she says.
“Shine” is one new track in particular that the two bonded over.
“My best friend was going through some hard times with job, family, you name it, everything was just piling up and I was trying to uplift her and remind her that she’s strong, beautiful, and talented and all she has to do is just be who you are and it’ll work out. When I shared it with Lari, she thought of her daughter, 13, and how hard it can be going from a girl to a young lady to a woman. We both connected so personally on this song and it’s one of my favorites because of that,” says Peck.
