Connor Christian was born in Los Angeles, but before he was a teenager, had lived in South Korea, Indonesia and Belgium. At the age of 14, he left home with a guitar and a backpack, and continued his travel and musical growth in Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, South America and even Africa. By the time he settled in Atlanta, GA in 1996, his life and his music were steeped in culture and influence from his well-traveled youth, and a tradition of diversity. And it was in that tradition that he began crafting what would become CCSG.

Meet New & Noteworthy Artist Christian Connor and Southern Gothic
Artist Name: Connor Christian & Southern Gothic
Current Single: “Sheets Down” (available on iTunes now!), Album-”New Hometown” (available NOW!)
Musical Influences: As a band, we have lots of diverse influences unique to each member. As a whole, I think our music is influenced by The Band, The Black Crowes, & Working Bands all over the world.
Music Sounds Like: We call it y’alternative, or we tell people it’s rock n’ roll with redneck tendencies. It’s just solid, American music with a well-earned southern twang. We use elements of country, rock, bluegrass, soul, zydeco, reggae, americana- you name it, we’ve mixed a little in.
Why You Should Be Listening: Because: What we do in CCSG is so different and fresh. We play and you can’t help but move to it. It’s honest music that can be hard to find these days. If you like your country without the candy-coating and your rock without borders, we’re your band.
