Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Go “Soul2Soul” in Sin City

faith-hill-600

Country music power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are currently doing a run of weekend shows at The Venetian in Las Vegas. I was lucky enough to catch one of the “Soul2Soul” performances last Saturday, February 2nd.  The theater at the Venetian is fairly small, seating around 1,800 and giving it a more intimate feel than a stadium show. The acoustics in the room were flawless and the visual effects were just enough, but the magic of the show comes from Tim and Faith. Together these two really make the room buzz with energy and excitement.

The show started with Tim coming from one side and Faith from the other, both walking down the aisle and up to the stage singing “ Let’s Go to Vegas.” As they made their way through the crowd they stopped and shook hands and even took pictures with excited fans. Once on stage they went from one hit to the next, sometimes singing together and other times taking turns in the spotlight. With every note they sang it felt like the momentum of enthusiasm seemed to continue to build. Fan favorites such as “Live Like You Were Dying,” “Cry” and “It’s Your Love” were all delivered. One of my favorite moments was the couple sitting face to face, looking each other in the eyes singing the emotional, “I Need You.” The way they connect with those lyrics made me feel their passion all the way up in the balcony!

The couple also sat down and had some fun and friendly banter while talking about the music they grew up on. They have undeniable chemistry and they fed off the audience showing what seasoned performers they both are. Faith Hill wowed the crowd on several songs with her amazing vocal skills and looked great while doing it dazzling us with many outfit changes. Tim of course knows how to have a good time and he did just that. At one point he even jumped down into the audience during a song and was walking around shaking people’s hands while singing. This is a nice touch and a sure fired way to amp up a crowd!

While the show only lasted 90 minutes and flew by, I must say I enjoyed every single minute. It seems Tim and Faith made a great decision deciding to call Sin City home for a sting of weekends. The show doesn’t feel “Vegas-y” or over glitzy in anyway at all. I think it perfectly showcases the couple and their slew of many of hits. Their tag team approach on stage will please both Tim and Faith fans alike, and their ability to connect with the audience will really only make you love them more. There were many other “WOW” moments during the show, but I don’t want to give it all away. While I can’t lie and say the tickets aren’t pricey if you are going to drop some money to see a show in Vegas, put your money down on Tim and Faith because they deliver!
