Impossible Dreams,” the debut single from Danielle Peck’s upcoming album, celebrates those who “get up every time they knock you down.” And to mark the launch of the accomplished singer, songwriter and performer’s accompanying video, she’s offering fans a chance to share their own fully realized impossible dreams.
To enter the “Impossible Dreams Contest,” fans submit a short story (500 words or less) describing how they’ve achieved something or overcome a challenge in a way that made a significant difference in their lives or, perhaps, that of others as well. Through Feb. 28, submissions can be made by filling out a form on www.countryweekly.com.
Danielle will choose the best 10 submissions, which will be posted to her website at www.daniellepeck.com and on www.countryweekly.com on March 8. Visitors to the sites will vote for the best story between March 8 and March 16. The winning entry, with the most votes, will be announced on March 18.
The grand prize winner will receive $500 and have their verified story published in Country Weekly. Second place receives two tickets to any Danielle Peck show in 2013, as well as autographed merchandise. The other eight finalists will also receive autographed Danielle Peck swag.
“Impossible Dreams,” the song that inspired the new video and contest, is a very personal musical moment for Peck. “It’s about believing in yourself, fighting for who you are and never giving up on your dreams,” she says. “Even though it’s one I didn’t write, I’ve lived it. It says everything I’d hoped to express on this new project.”
The song is the first single from her upcoming album How Freedom Feels, produced by Lari White. Danielle’s next chapter builds upon her prior chart successes including “I Don’t,” “Findin’ A Good Man” and “Isn’t That Everything,” as well as almost an entire lifetime of touring and performing in bands and as a solo recording artist – both as a headliner and in support of the country music’s biggest artists.
