On Sunday evening and invitation-only crowd was privy to a special treat at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe when Willie Nelson was presented with the Kris Kristofferson Award from the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International. Kris presented Willie with the lifetime achievement award himself.
“If I had to give the award to somebody, I’m glad it was Willie,” Kris said afterwards.
What a special and rare honor for all of those in attendance to see two legends on stage together in such an intimate setting.
