For a do-it-yourself singer, songwriter and entertainer like Toby Keith, an acoustic guitar is the equivalent of a carpenter’s hammer. Pretty much nothing gets done without it. So when he signs off on a guitar with his name on it, it’s going to have to be something pretty special.
Takamine’s EF250TK Toby Keith Signature acoustic-electric is everything Toby wants in a guitar. Crafted to his tastes and based on his longtime workhorse guitar, the Takamine TF250MCSB, the new signature model is loaded with features. A full-sounding jumbo cutaway body, solid spruce top with scalloped “X” bracing and flame maple back and sides set the stage for Keith’s signature on the heel cap and his silhouette on a special headstock medallion.
Also featured is Takamine’s Palathetic under-saddle pickup and the acclaimed CT4B II preamp with its three-band EQ, volume control and built-in tuner. Other features include abalone and mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays, a split-bone saddle for accurate intonation and pin-less bridge for easy string changing.
And while a hard-shell case is included, the unyielding string of chart-topping singles, platinum albums and sold-out shows are not included in the price of the new model. And speaking of hits, Keith’s current hit single “Hope On The Rocks” hails from his acclaimed new album, with which it shares its title.
