Chely Wright Nominated for Glaad Award

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation announced the nominees for their GLAAD Media Awards yesterday.

Chely Wright’s film, Wish Me Away, picked up a nomination.

The film is a personal and intimate look at Chely’s life.  She was the first country music star to come out as openly gay, despite what some people in the industry have referred to as a career-ending decision.

The winners of the GLADD Awards will be announced March 16 in New York and at ceremonies in April and May in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
