Luke Bryan is more than just a pretty face and a snug pair of jeans. Turns out, he can add hero to his list of accomplishments. On Thursday, Janet McCormick’s horse Misty took a 15 foot fall into Tennessee’s Harpeth River when the rain soaked river bank gave away.
The horse struggled to keep her head above water when Luke and a friend, who were enjoying a boat ride on the river, spotted the horse and alerted rescuers and family.
“It was a blessing. If they hadn’t been going down the river in the boat, I wouldn’t have known that she’d fallen in,” McCormick said.
It took more than a dozen people several hours to pull Misty from the river.
“It was a blessing. If they hadn’t been going down the river in the boat, I wouldn’t have known that she’d fallen in,” McCormick said.
