John Rich vs. Clay Aiken in Twitter War

John Rich

It started with a drinking game and turned into a Twitter war. Clay Aiken and John Rich got into it during the Republican National Convention. Aiken tweeted that he was watching with his brother and playing a game where they would drink every time they saw a black person on screen. He added the hashtag “soberasamormon.” Rich replied, saying Aiken “should be ashamed for racist comments like THAT!” and wondering how long it would be until Aiken took down that “idiotic post.”

The “idiotic post” has not yet been taken down but Rich finished his evening by saying,

Between the hashtag “negrospotting” and what I’ve read ever since, I’ve just had enough of this racist nonsense. It’s sick. PLS STOP.

John’s right. Clay’s comment was demeaning & disrespectful to ethnic, religious & political groups. It was all done to further his own agenda with total disregard to anyones feelings, etc. . Clay could have made his point In a less insulting manner. I had gained respect for Clay during Celebrity Apprentice, however, that respect is gone now. My respect for John Rich increases. He handled the situation very well. Notice How he stated Clay’s COMMENT was racist. John never personally said anything negative about Clay. John focused on his dislike of the COMMENT! Meanwhile, Clay’s Fans have been spewing personal attacks & hate towards John ever since. Shame on them & Clay for posting such negativity.

John was wrong to start something and call Clay racist. Everywhere I read about this incident I see people telling John to learn some reading comprehension and to quit tweeting while drunk. Truth Hurts eh John?
