CMTT Exclusive: 10 Quick Quirky Questions with Taylor Made

Taylor Made

A sibling trio from Grafton, West Virginia, Taylor Made (comprised of Brian and Greg Duckworth and Wendy Duckworth-Williams) originally formed under the name I-79. After winning their area Colgate Country Showdown, the trio was discovered by famed artist manager Dale Morris (Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson, Martina McBride), who inevitably changed their name to what it is now.

Signed to Little General Records and recipients of New Music Weekly’s Best New Country Group of 2012, Taylor Made recently released their latest studio effort, a six-pack entitled Good Love. Their current single, Some Things You Don’t Grow Out Of, charted at #56 on the Billboard Indicator chart and #60 on the Music Row chart after just three weeks at radio.

10 Quick Quirky Questions with Taylor Made

Where is the one place you could spend hours and be happy?
(Wendy)
On a beach. I love to listen to the sound of the water…and sometimes I just stare in amazement.
(Greg)
In the woods, most likely hunting.
(Brian) I’d be in the woods as well.

Beer or liquor?
(Wendy)
Beer. Duh :)
(Greg)
Liquor.
(Brian) Beer.

Last person you talked to on the phone?

My boss.
(Greg) My loving sister, Wendy, haha

(Greg)
Anything having to do with hunting.

If you hadn’t made it as a singer/songwriter, what would you likely be doing for a living?
(Wendy)
I always wanted to be an anesthesiologist, but I’d love to simply be a housewife and mom. That’s enough work for anyone…and Greg and Brian couldn’t do it, haha!
(Greg)
Enforcing law in our home state of West Virginia!
(Brian)
I’d continue doing what I do when I’m not on the road – I’d drive a truck.

If your life was a song, what would the title be?

Time travel.
(Brian)
Probably telekinesis.

Do you have a pre-concert ritual?
(Wendy)
A vocal warm-up with Greg and Brian, then calling someone I love to wish me luck (if they’re not already there).

(Greg)
…And check the set list!

What was the last thing that made you laugh?
(Wendy)
A text on my phone…And NO, I won’t tell you why :)
(Greg)
Watching my daughters at the beach on our recent family vacation.
