Former professional bull rider Justin McBride, who is most widely recognized as a PBR World Champion in arenas across the country, is redirecting his career to satisfy yet another hunger for excitement.
With plans on the horizon to expand his branding as a country music recording artist to be reckoned with, Justin McBride has recently announced his alliance with a roundup of industry execs to signify his goal. Solidifying a group of top-notch professionals to tout his pure roughrider sound, McBride recently signed with Patterson Management as its flagship talent and Music City Media for public relations representation. McBride’s early 2012 tour schedule (appearing in arenas, at fairs and festivals, and in honky-tonks across the U.S.) makes evident country music fans are vying for him.
Justin McBride has led a storied life of adventure, success and love and he wears it well. A fifth generation cowboy, McBride is a full-blooded bull rider. Riding atop thousands of bulls in his lifetime, with braided rope embedded in the palm of his hand, McBride began his professional career in 1999. He’s achieved notoriety and coveted titles most have not—before walking away—earning his first Professional Bull Riding World Championship in 2005. McBride has a record 32 career wins and was the first professional bull rider to earn more than $5 million over the course of his career.
“I still love riding and the next ride is as exciting as the last,” McBride explains. “It’s just as big a thrill to perform on stage (and a little less life-threatening). I am so thankful for the opportunity to pursue my other passion in country music and I think the two worlds boast fans like no other. The support they’ve shown in the transition has been overwhelming and sharing my music is one of the best ways that I can stay in touch.”
