The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young” is Still #1

The Band Perry‘s “If I Die Young” is the #1 song on Billboard’s Neilsen/BDS Adult Contemporary Chart this week – almost one full year after the song first hit #1 on the Country Chart. Since “If I Die Young” was first released, it has been certified Triple Platinum and the video has racked up over 40 million views on Youtube. In the meantime, on the Country charts, their cheating anthem, “You Lie” went all the way to #2 and their current romantic ballad, “All Your Life” has climbed into the Top 15 on the Mediabase chart.

“We couldn’t be more honored that ‘If I Die Young’ has resonated with so many. Since it first found an audience, many people have told us stories about playing this song to find comfort or inspiration. Today, and each day, we’re filled with gratitude that we’re a part of that,” said Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry.

The sibling trio currently has five CMA nominations, three AMA nominations and six ACA nominations. Earlier this week, they were featured on the MSN homepage as one of the “Hottest Country Stars Under 30″ while Billboard.com featured TBP’s bluegrass-tinged performance of Queen’s “Fat Bottom Girls,” which is a staple of their rollicking live shows.
