Merle Haggard Is at Home and Out Of Hospital

Merle Haggard canceled a show in Texas on Saturday, went to a hospital for tests, left early Sunday and by yesterday, was being driven, on his tour bus, to his home in Northern California. He went home so he could be checked by his own doctors.

Merle’s spokeswoman isn’t saying what the problem is. Merle Haggard, who’s now 74, had surgery for lung cancer in 2008. He has a new album coming out October 4 called “Working in Tennessee.” He has several weeks of concerts lined up before and after the album release.

Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery Merle.

Hi Merle, its just your old friends Wes and Mary Ann, man, we can’t have you being sick, we’ve been praying for everything to be okay ever since your problem first came up. We love you Merle, not just your singing either, I mean we genuinely love you. This is a pretty sorry world we live in today but it would be a lot sorrier without you in it. We’ve all gotten old since the days in Calif. when you were so young (so were we) but we knew you were going to be the greatest gift country music ever had experienced and boy were we right. Whatever the problem Merle, you hang in there and take care of yourself, let Thresa spoil you (I know she loves doing that)and then when you feel strong enough you can sing if you want to but if not we still love you and know there will NEVER be another Merle Haggard, NOT EVEN CLOSE. Love you Wes and Mary Ann
