Danny Gokey is where he is in country music because of one reality show: “American Idol.” Now, he tells CMT.com he’s eyeing another reality show. He says he would like to be on “Dancing With the Stars.” He says he likes dancing. And, on that show, “you lose weight, too.”
Danny says Simon Cowell told him he couldn’t dance. But, he says if he were on “Dancing With the Stars,” he could tell him, “you know, Simon, I’ll show you one day.”
Danny is closing 2010 with the best first-week sales of any debut album this year by an American Idolfinalist. Danny’s My Best Days, released March 2, scanned in excess of 65,000 copies in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan, outpacing opening-week sales on other 2010 debut releases, including those from American Idol Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox.

That’s cute. I guess Simon’s criticisms stay with you for a while if you have to hear them week in and week out on that show
Wasn’t it Sara Evans who was going to be on Dancing with the Stars and she couldn’t stay with it? And Chuck Wicks, of course.
I would love to see Danny on dancing with the stars! I’ve seen him in concert and he is a really good dancer. Looking forward to his new album in 2011
Danny would be awesome on Dancing with the Stars! TV misses his face!
Molly Quigley Moenkhoff also would love to be on Dancing With The Stars
