Garth Brooks’ number-one hit from 20 years ago, “Unanswered Prayers,” is being turned into a Lifetime movie.
In under 3 1/2 minutes, Garth sings about a man and his wife running into his old high school flame. This was the woman he prayed would be his. It didn’t happen and after spending a little bit of time with her now, he looks at his wife and thanks God his high school prayer wasn’t answered. The Lifetime movie will star Samantha Mathis as the wife, Eric Close as the husband and Madchen Amick has the former high school flame. Filming started yesterday in the Richmond, Virginia area. It’ll air in November.
It’s not known if the original Garth Brooks version of “Unanswered Prayers” will be part of the movie
