carrie underwood isn’t nominated for entertained of the year?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! she had like the most successful tour of the year, 3 #1 singles, and album that’s reaching 2x platinum, not to mention all of her other TV appearances, etc. how are miranda and lady a nominated over carrie?? this is such a joke and i don’t even wanna watch…
So happy that Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley got some respect and recognition. Woo-hoo!
So excited to see Dierks finally get the recognition he so deserves. Up On The Ridge is a masterpiece from beginning to end!!

WHY did Taylor Swift get nominated for female vocalist of the year? Boo? And Carrie not getting nominated for Entertainer of the year is absurd. She had an amazing year and really deserves it!!
THRILLED Blake’s finally getting sone recognition for that powerhouse voice of his!! Woohoo!!
Why is lady A in the EOTY who are they paying off to get that nom. They so don’t deserve it i mean come on people they are not eoty material atleast not yet.
To answer the question above…What does Carrie Underwood have to do to get an EOTY nom? Why, that’s easy! MOVE GENRES BECAUSE SHE ISN’T EVEN COUNTRY!!!
I don’t understand why Jason Aldean isn’t on Male Vocalist list…he had a fantastic year with several #1 songs. There are some interesting choices in there for EOTY too. I will say that I think Miranda Lambert deserves each one of her nominations, her album Revolution is one of my all time favorites.

So thrilled for Miranda Lambert! She has never won a CMA and I hope that she does this year. For years she has been releasing great fun, original, quality songs and I’m thrilled for her. Also happy for Dierks. It is nice to see that them both be recognized!!
WOW! CMA Award Nominations! WOW! GO MIRANDA LAMBERT! Way to go girl! Record breaking nominations for a woman this year. Fantastic! Must say the most shocking category for nominations was Entertainer of the Year. Still a little stunned how a new artist nominee can also be a ETOY nominee in the same year. Also a little shock how two of the nominees are opening acts still. Not headlining acts. With the exclusions of two very obvious choices for ETOY it makes me wonder if these small music labels can compete with the large labels. That doesn’t seem fair. I also think a few very important men were left out of the male category this year. Keep the comments coming….we love to hear what you think.
I’m glad they’re FINALLY starting to recognize some of the other artists out there besides Carrie, Taylor, Kenny, etc. I’m mostly happy about Dierks Bentley’s nominations. He has been shut out at awards shows for YEARS & it’s about time they start giving him the recognition he deserves! I think I’ll actually watch the awards this year since it’s not the same ole, same ole! I don’t exactly agree with some of the nominees in the New Artist category, but I usually don’t. I think they need to change it to something other than New Artist, though. Other than that, overall I’m pretty happy with all the nominations! Looking forward to seeing who takes what home!
Dierks has been shut out of the awards for years because he’s been making boring music IMO. He FINALLY got back to his roots with Up On The Ridge and see what happens? The award nominations come. People should see that as a sign to just be themselves and not worry about what country radio wants.

Ha ha ha !!!! Stupid taylor and carrie aren’t nominated for EOTY!! I’m so glad. Finally some newer fresher faces in each categorie. Not the same frods and fakes and drama queens like taylor and carrie. Everyone thinks they are just it and they aren’t. For one taylor can’t even sing and carrie thinks so much of herself its disgusting. I’m happy for blake miranda lady a and dierks. I hope lady A gets entertainer though
