The 9513 has a FANTASTIC interview with Blake Shelton. Not only does Blake reveal that he’d love to do a show with Katy Perry, Kellie Pickler, Shania Twain, and Faith Hill, but he also says he’d love to have dinner with Conway Twitty, Neal McCoy, and Dolly Parton. But besides the humor and wedding plans, Blake also discusses a very important project he’s got coming out.
The next step for me is a greatest hits album in November. I know that’s not a new project, but it is a big deal to me because I always thought that I would have made it if I had a greatest hits album; I would have had some impact if that ever came out. So that’s going to be something that’s a big deal to me. We have accomplished something that the company wants to put out an album with 15 songs on it. I can’t believe that 11 years have gone by since I’ve been doing this.
Even though Blake has obviously had PLENTY of success on his own; he’s making sure to plan for his future and Miranda Lambert is a big part of that.
I look at it that Miranda is my retirement. (Laughter) And “The House That Built Me” is me investing into my retirement. She’s like the world’s best 401k.
Something tells me Blake isn’t going to need Miranda’s moola if he keeps pumping-out hits like he’s been recently. You can read the full interview here.
