So, it appears that JLo (that’s Jennifer Lopez for all you non-awesome people) may be out of the American Idol judge running…but People.com is reporting that Shania Twain may be back in. The network has had their eyes on Shania since she played mentor last season.
They’ve been after her ever since she was a mentor on the show last season,” the source says. “And they haven’t given up.”
So far, there is no confirmation from either party that Shania is on a short list of possible Simon Cowell replacements, but time will tell. Personally, I think she’s a better choice than Jennifer Lopez…I mean…Jennifer has always been more of an actress than a singer.

Shania as an Idol judge? That would be awesome. She did a great job mentoring last season. Besides that, we love Shania and it would be great to see more of her on TV.
It would be a good thing to have her but the show is about helping new singers make careers, not about whose going to judge.
At least the show has the right demographic mentality. The show should be a producer from Nashville.
