Jennette McCurdy’s video for “Not That Far Away” will make its World Premiere on August 14 on CMT and Nickelodeon. Jennette recently shot the video, which was directed by Roman White, in Watertown, TN near Nashville. The video will premiere at 7:45pm EST/6:45pm CST on both CMT and CMT.com. Nickelodeon will feature a Just Jennette segment starting at 8pm EST/7pm CST that will also showcase the video.

“Not That Far Away” is the title track of Jennette’s EP being released digitally on August 17.

I can hardly wait to see the video. I am really excited. Roman White appears to be some sort of crazy genius. I think Jennette made an excellent choice, or right decision, as some would say. Right decisions are very important. Books picked at random are not. If you want to place a book in a video about a young woman, away from home, you should make the right decision and place “God’s Little Acre,” by Erskine Caldwell, on the bedside table. Next to “Tobacco Road.” The young women I know are always in need of spiritual uplift and geography lessons. I use these books as a sort of instructional tool. Real page turners. Young women never seem to be able to get enough.
I heard Roman White say “iCarly.” Somewhere in the vicinity of Jennette’s remarks about “beds.” Jack Black is so yesterday. Roman White is the future. I have this image of him taking a few dainty steps, jumping onto a trampoline, and floating in slow motion, slowly, ever so slowly, into Carly’s bed. To what end, I do not know, I’ll leave that to the professionals. Hi Miranda. How’s that ring fit? Doesn’t come off, does it? Not ever.
